Trip Overview
Experience Scotland during Halloween on a 9-day, 8-night journey hosted by paranormal television personalities Shari DeBenedetti and Kris Williams. The trip combines Scotland’s history, castles, battlefields, scenic landscapes and legendary haunted locations, with opportunities to investigate paranormal sites and hear stories from experienced investigators.
Highlights include Stirling Castle and Stirling Jail, Torwood Castle, Bannockburn House, Blackness Castle, St Andrews with Greg Stewart, an exclusive Balgonie Castle investigation, Huntingtower Castle, Glenturret Distillery, Inveraray Castle, a scenic drive through the Highlands, and the historic Drovers Inn. Guests also have free time to explore Glasgow and Edinburgh at their own pace. At least four paranormal investigations are included, with one or two additional investigations hoped to be added. Airport transfers, accommodation, breakfasts, transportation, venue costs, snacks and drinks on long journeys, a tour manager, driver, and farewell meal are included. International flights to and from Edinburgh, lunches and most evening meals, travel insurance, hotel extras, tips and personal expenses are not included.
Trip Details
Location: Scotland, including Stirling, St Andrews, Fife, Perthshire, the Scottish Highlands, Loch Lomond, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The trip arrives and departs through Edinburgh Airport.
Duration: 9 days / 8 nights, October 26–November 3, 2027. The tour is based on 25 participants, with group sizes listed from 1–25.
Activity Type: Guided sightseeing, historical and cultural visits, scenic drives, walking tours and paranormal investigations. Activity levels range from low to moderate/high depending on the day. Some locations involve walking on rough or stony surfaces and uphill or longer walks; participants who cannot comfortably manage these may stay on the bus. Day 7 includes free time to explore Glasgow at your own pace, while Day 8 is a free day in Edinburgh.
Accommodation: The tour includes 3/4-star hotels, with 8 breakfasts included. Hotel names and links will be posted once the accommodations are booked. All rooms are en-suite.
- Double Occupancy: $3,550 per person — one room with a double bed; $300 deposit.
- Twin Occupancy: $3,550 per person — shared room with two beds; $300 deposit.
- Single Occupancy: $3,875 per person — private room; $300 deposit. Available until November 26, 2026.
The final balance is due 60 days before the start of the tour. Installment plans are available. Deposits are non-refundable.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Stirling Castle & Stirling Jail
Begin with visits to historic Stirling Castle and the Old Stirling Jail, exploring their royal and prison histories alongside their reported paranormal activity. The day has a moderate activity level.
Day 2 — Torwood Castle, Bannockburn House & Blackness Castle
Explore three historic locations associated with Scotland’s turbulent past and paranormal legends: Torwood Castle, Bannockburn House and Blackness Castle. The day has a moderate activity level.
Day 3 — St Andrews & Ghost Walk
Spend the day discovering St Andrews with Scottish paranormal researcher Greg Stewart, followed by a guided Ghost Walk in the evening. Activity level is moderate to high.
Day 4 — Balgonie Castle Investigation
Visit Balgonie Castle and take part in an exclusive paranormal investigation, with Ryan O'Neil and Greg Steward of Scottish Paranormal hoped to join. Activity level is moderate.
Day 5 — Castles, Whisky & Loch Fyne
Visit Huntingtower Castle before experiencing the whisky heritage of Glenturret Distillery and continuing to Inveraray Castle on the shores of Loch Fyne. Activity level is moderate.
Day 6 — Scenic Drive & The Drovers Inn
Enjoy a scenic drive through the Highlands with opportunities for photographs before visiting the historic Drovers Inn. An after-hours paranormal investigation at the inn is hoped to be offered. Activity level is moderate.
Day 7 — Balloch Castle Country Park & Glasgow
Explore Balloch Castle Country Park before spending time in Glasgow at your own pace. Suggested sights include Glasgow Cathedral, the Necropolis, Merchant City, Buchanan Street and Kelvingrove Museum, followed by a return to Edinburgh.
Day 8 — Explore Edinburgh
Enjoy a full free day in Edinburgh. Choose to relax or explore sites such as Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriars Kirkyard, the Edinburgh Vaults, Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace, Calton Hill, Victoria Street and Grassmarket. Activity level is low.
Day 9 — Edinburgh Airport
Transfer to Edinburgh Airport a couple of hours before your flight for departure. The tour concludes with a farewell to the group

We pick you up at the airport the morning of the first day of the tour, and we return you to the airport the last day of the tour. Please book your flights to come in anytime before 8am.

We will book 3/4 star hotels for your comfort.
- Breakfast
8 good Scottish breakfasts for you to enjoy before your day's excursion.
- Travel
We will have a 39 seater bus available for you.
- Driver
We have an expert driver who knows the highways and byways of Scotland. He will look after you well.
- Tour manager
We have a great tour manager who will look after you from the time you arrive until you leave. If you have any concerns please let him know.
- Ambassadors
You get to hang out with TV stars Shari and Kris for the duration of the trip. How lucky are you?
- Snacks
We supply snacks and drinks on long journeys
- Veunes
All costs are covered for the venues you visit
- Investigations
You will have at least 4 investigations, but we will post all when we get them confirmed. We hope to add 1 or 2 more.
- Meals
Farewell meal the night before you leave, where you can chat about your trip and what you liked and disliked.
- All Taxes and Charges
Taxes and charges from hotels and bus company is covered
What's Not Included
- Flights
We do not cover flights. You will arrive and leave our of Edinburgh airport for this trip
- Laundry
We will do our best to arrange with one of the hotels for laundry services for you, but we cannot promise until we contact hotels
- Meals
We do not cover lunch and evening meals. We do supply snacks and soft drinks on bus. We will, however, treat you to a farewell dinner.
- Travel Insurance
We strongly suggest that you purchase travel insurance to protect your travel investment. We do not offer refunds. You never know what might happen that would prevent you travelling with us.
- Hotel charges services
Hotel room phone calls, room bar, room service are not covered by Secret Ireland Tours
- Lost items
If you lose any item we do not cover the cost.
- Tips

I cannot put into words how wonderful the trip to Ireland we just returned from was, and I highly recommend Secret Ireland Tours.<br><br>Mai was great to work with in the time leading up to our trip; she was sure to provide us all the important information that we would need to prepare for our trip, without wasting our time with useless information or too many Zoom calls that feel unhelpful or confusing, as we had experienced with another tour company in the past. I will always recommend events and trips with our ambassador, Aaron Sagers; when you travel with Aaron, you are always in for a great time. And I can't say enough about our Irish tour guide, Adrian; not only does he know so much about Ireland's folklore and history that he wants to share, but he is also just a wonderful person with whom we all had a genuine connection and now feels like a family member. Thank you, Ado, we appreciate you so much. Our tour bus driver, Ronan, was just lovely; he kept us safe, got us where we needed to go, and shared lots of laughs with us as well. We experienced a truly unforgettable 9 days in Ireland thanks to Mai, Adrian, Aaron, and Ronan.<br><br>Everything seemed to operate quite smoothly (which I am sure Adrian was a big part of), and after taking another spooky tour overseas in the past that did not go as well, it was much appreciated how seamless this tour was. We never had to worry about a lack of communication, itinerary changes, or that anyone would be left behind. The structure of the tour allowed us some later morning starts as well as time every day to experience the location that we were staying in; to explore the town, and to see and do what the locals do. This was a big selling point of this tour for us, to not feel rushed every day and to have time to soak it all in. We also stayed at great hotels, which were at the least nice (as well as clean), but we even had a surprise stay in the most gorgeous castle rooms one night of our tour!<br><br>We appreciated the smaller size of our tour group (18 folks, not counting Adrian, Aaron, and Ronan), which allowed for a more personal connection with our guides, as well as with each other. By the end of the tour, we all felt like family, and it was quite an emotional goodbye, which, in part, I think was likely due to the smaller group size, which allowed us to get to know each other. It also didn't feel like you were just a number, as it can feel with a larger tour group. Every single person on the tour felt important, included, and a part of the group.<br><br>The itinerary was clear from day one when we signed up for this tour, and we were fortunate that there were no changes to our itinerary (likely due to thoughtful and good planning on Mai and Adrian's part), and instead, any changes to our itinerary were just enhancements or bonus surprises. It is good to know that you are going to get what you pay for with one of these types of tours. Adrian brought us not only to some well-known tourist locations but also to some off-the-beaten-path locations, making our tour feel more personalized and special.<br><br>I am so grateful that I was finally able to experience the beauty of Ireland and its people, and I already can not wait to return. I am grateful that we went on this tour with Aaron and Secret Ireland Tours, and we would love to attend another in the future. I will never forget this trip and the special connections that we made with so many while experiencing this beautiful country.
I had a great time on this trip. Ado, our guide, was full of stories and legends about the areas we were visiting. He was so organized and dedicated to be sure that we were all having a wonderful experience. Aaron added to the stories of folklore and hauntings that were a perfect complement to Ado’s. Too many highlights to choose from, but walking an alpaca will always be memorable, as will the trip to Inishmore. Such a fun group of people to travel with!
I hate when people say this in a review, but this time, it’s true: there are no words. Mai and her team curated a wonderful 10-day trip to Ireland, hosted by the amazing Aaron Sagers. The thoughtful details and care were evident during the entire trip. I have been on tours with other paranormal companies, and they don’t come close to Secret Ireland tours. I was never afraid that our itinerary was going to be suddenly changed, that anyone in our group would be left behind, or there would be a lack of communication. <br><br> Each stop was like stepping back in time; our guide, Adrien, was a seasoned storyteller who brought the stories of old Ireland to life. Each hotel had a special meaning that was woven into the tour. I will 100% be taking another tour with this company. Thank you, Mai, Adrien, and Aaron!
