We will visit abbeys, old estate houses, ancient ruins, breath-taking scenic coastal drives, beaches and of course some Castles too! You will experience the real Ireland when you stay in a small rural, family run hotel and of course you can't come to Ireland without staying in a Castle for a night. Itinerary,
Subject to slight change.
Day 1.
We pick you up at Dublin airport and bring you to the North West of the country.
On our way we visit our first Castle which is Tullynally Castle and we'll also check out their walled gardens. We then pop into Lough Key Forest Park where we can see the ruins of an 11th century castle on an island and also explore the amazing grounds there. Our last stop is a 12th century Abbey in a town called Boyle. We are lucky to have friends there who will bring you for a quick tour and give you the rich history of the place before we go to our small rural family run hotel in South Sligo.
Day 2
We go out today to take in some of the breath-taking scenery of the North West. We bring you on a stunning coastal drive around North Sligo, we then take you around the Horseshoe Drive at the back of our famous mountain of Benbulben, and we also visit the majestic Glencar waterfall in Co Leitrim.
Day 3
We take a trip to Donegal today to visit the highest cliffs in Europe. Breath-takingly beautiful. There are amazing cliff walks and magical photo ops. We then spend some time in the Quaint town of Donegal.
We visit the town with its Castle and Abbey ruins. On our way back to South Sligo we visit the resting place of a famous Irish poet.
Day 4
We visit Westport House and Gardens today and then we go to the famous Kylemore Abbey. Both places have a rich history but the grounds are well worth taking the time to explore. The scenery on the way to Kylemore is stunning so there will be lots of photo ops too.
Day 5
Today we are taking a boat trip on Lough Gill which is a majestic lake just outside Sligo Town, and then we visit Parke's Castle on the shores of that lake. The drive around the lake is beautiful and you will want to take plenty of photo's.
Day 6
We are giving you the day off today. You can relax for the day at your accommodation or you can take a trip into the local main town of Sligo. You could take a journey to many other destinations by bus if you wish.
Day 7
We go to Dublin today and take you for a quick bus ride around the city, then we drop you off to give you the day exploring Dublin or go shopping yourself. We pick you up at a designated time and place and bring you to your Castle accommodation.
Day 8
We bring you today to Powerwcourt House and gardens and Glendalough. Two very special places to visit and then bring you back to the Castle for your second night's stay before leaving Ireland.
Day 9 We leave the Castle today to return to Dublin airport where we say goodbye to Ireland and make a promise to return again with Secret Ireland Tours.
Payment Methods:
Cost of tour is $1700 and based on 24 people taking the trip and is also based on per person sharing.
We offer three methods of payment for you to choose from:
First Method you can pay full cost in one payment by Sept 15th 2019.
Second Method you can pay deposit of $250 by Oct 15th 2020 and pay balance by March 15th 2020.
Third Method You can pay your deposit of $250 by Oct 15th, 2020 then pay installments on the 15th Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb and March.
Remember if you are a single traveler you must add the $200 supplement to the balance.
