What are your concerns about going to Ireland.

Having lived in America now for just over two years, I come across people who would love to go on a holiday to Ireland, but they have so many questions about Ireland. Sometimes they apologize for asking the questions, thinking that I will think less of them for not knowing more about Ireland.
Well, before I came over here to live, I had all sorts of idea's going through my head about what I was going to have to deal with, and most of them were not correct. So I understand very well what people worry about and what they want to know. I also understand that for many people, it might be their first time out of the States.
So, lets see some of the questions that have been put to me along the way by people, and deal with them here. If you have any questions or concerns, please post them here and we can try to answer them for you.
First of all, I have found a lot of people were under the impression that the whole country was in a state of war, during the time of the troubles. They think that it is still going on in the North of Ireland, and for some, they think that it is right throughout the country.
Well the answer is, there is no conflict in Ireland now, and even when there was, it was not in the Republin of Ireland. It is a very safe and peaceful country. I am sorry to say, it is not the Isle of Saints and scolors anymore, and we will deal with that later in this blog, but there are no bombs and bullets flying around the place. You don't have to duck every five minutes.
Another concern is driving on the wrong side of the road. Well, if you are coming with Secret Ireland Tours LLC, you don't have to worry about that, as we have expert drivers who come from the area's we are visiting. You won't be driving, which means that all you have to do is, sit back and relax.
Changing Dollars into Euro's.
There is a facility at the airport where you can do this. We will look after this for you.
Food
Secret Ireland Tours LLC will bring you to some great places where the food is served to the highest standard. Ireland is known around the world as having some of the best cuisine and our meat and fish is very fresh. Fish used in most resturaunts is caught in the morning and served in during the day and in the evening. Meat and chicken is of the best quality and is traceable. Most resturaunts have vegetarian meals on their menu too.
Pickpockets and Bagsnatchers
The greatest danger looms from opportunistic thieves who use bustling crowds as a cover to pick your pockets or simply snatch your bag.
Just take the usual precautions to wear your valuables as close and as inaccessible as possible (and sensible) to your body. If you are carrying a bag with a strap wear the strap across your body.
And if you place your bag under the table in a restaurant or café simply fasten the strap to a chair or your leg. And never leave your valuables unattended, not even in the hotel or in the car.
Again, it must be said, this is unsual thing to happen in the North West of Ireland, as there are really no big cities, but nice sized towns. So it is something that is not of great concern.
Violent Crime
The good news: Gun crime is relatively rare in Ireland and mostly related to gang or family feuds. It is almost always found in Dublin and Limerick.
The bad news: You might find that you will come across young people that might have had too much to drink and the get a little aggressive. They might think they are being funny, but most people do not. Do not enter into conversation with them, just keep walking.
And again try to avoid being an obvious target - a lonely stranger in a deserted area, especially at night. But we will be bringing you to specially organized events, so it will not be a problem.
Dangerous Animals
Dangerous animals in Ireland? Come on, you're joking, right ... wolves and bears are long extinct, and there are no mountain lions, snakes, or great white sharks. Yet still - not all wildlife, and even some domestic and farm animals, are without their dangers.
You more than likely won't be eaten alive by them, but you might come to harm if you act foolishly.
